Using a wide range of stimulus including music, art, games, group work and more, children are encouraged to develop their story making skills in a relaxed, imaginative and fun environment. These workshops are designed to compliment school learning, not supplement it. There will be no tests, no spell checking and no handwriting work! Children are instead encouraged to develop their own creative process, trust their imaginations and build confidence in their own unique storytelling voice.
Workshop leader Kim Hillyard has over ten years experience working as an arts and drama facilitator in schools, theatres and community spaces. Her written work has been published by NME, Time Out, the BBC and more. This session is for 7-10 year olds. And costs £10 per child.
