The Bright Emporium is a unique space, opening a window for customers into the illustration and children’s book world. Here creative people, families and art enthusiasts can discover new artists, commission bespoke pieces and immerse themselves in a world of discovery.

The Bright Emporium is a fun and creative combined retail outlet, gallery and event space, design studio and licensing agency. The Bright Group is an illustration agency for unique children’s publishing and boutique art licensing artists.

To celebrate all of our artists’ work and share it with the public we opened The Bright Emporium.

Come and visit us!

From mess making at the drawing table for a 2nd Birthday, raising a glass of bubbly with friends at your 50th, or hosting a dinner party; The Bright Emporium is the perfect space to hire.

The Emporium is hireable simply as a space, without the markup of a drinks and food service (although caterers can be recommended) meaning your event stays cost effective. Bring in your own catering and bubbly and use our kitchen downstairs to cool drinks and prepare canapés and nibbles.

Read! Make! Play! With Kim

Kim is a writer, artist, drama teacher and arts facilitator at The Bright Emporium, running unique drama and craft workshops for imaginative young minds!

Inspired by a new picture book story every session children will discover how a picture book is made and how to construct a story of their own.

Using drama games and creative storytelling to come up with our ideas, we’ll construct beautiful picture book pages to take home. Packed with plenty of illustration tips and tricks, children will get creative using collage, colouring, sticking, creative writing, drawing and more. Perfect for any budding writers, illustrators, young actors, actresses and all story book fans!

Running on select Sundays at The Bright Emporium, Kim will lead two Little Picture Books workshops per Sunday each tailored to suit a different age group.
